ABOUT US

OUR MISSION

LifeBridge is a Christ centered church called to proclaim the good news of God's love  to the people of Northern Kentucky and around the world.  We exist to be an instrument that the Holy Spirit uses to empower people of all culture and race to achieve their full potential in Christ.

Our plan of action to help everyone reach their FULL POTENTIAL in Christ is called G.P.S

Growth in faith.  Through relevant biblical teachings and our home group fellowship, we help everyone develop  a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God.  We encourage everyone to not only spend time with God daily, but also to attend a weekly worship service.  We want everyone to always feel welcome to participate in any of our home groups and to help others as they grow through faith in God.

"But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him [be] glory (honor, majesty, and splendor) both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (so be it)!"
2 Peter 3:18 (Amplified)

Purpose driven life.  We strive to promote and foster a Christ-centered fellowship that helps people discover God's plan for their life.   Our leadership development approach provides everyone with opportunities to learn, and become Godly leaders who can then, with their Christ-like character, lead in ministry and equip others for service.

"It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ...he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone." Ephesians 1:11 (Msg)

Service to the world.  We demonstrate by example, how we can all meet the needs of others, starting with those in our own circle of influence every day, and by encouraging  each  to other to demonstrate God's love through compassion to the poor and the desolate.

"You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven."  Matthews 5:16 (Msg)

 OUR FELLOWSHIP

LifeBridge is affiliated with the Assemblies of God fellowship.  In the early 1900s a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit took place across North America. Beginning in Topeka, Kansas, in January 1901, this great revival movement eventually paved the way for the formation of the Assemblies of God in 1914

The first meeting of the Assemblies of God was held in Hot Springs, Arkansas, in April 1914.  This meeting brought together about 300 church leaders who were apprehensive about creating another denomination. These leaders agreed to form a loosely knit fellowship of independent churches called the Assemblies of God.

Being part of a fellowship such as the Assemblies of God allows us to identify with other Christians around the world who are known for their commitment to the Bible and to the power of the Holy Spirit.  Unlike other groups, the Assemblies of God has no man-made “creed”.  The Bible is our only authority.  It allows our church to participate in one of the fastest growing missionary organizations in the world.  Through the Assemblies of God we help support missionaries in countries around the world.

  OUR STRUCTURE

LifeBridge is a pastor-led church after the model that most closely represents the New Testament form of church governance.  Thus, the pastoral staff has been charged with the role of leading the church – a competent team comprised of a pastor and ministry directors who have been called by God to serve.

Who keeps the pastor accountable?  The plurality of pastors in the local New Testament church was always under the oversight of a plurality of apostles who governed all the local church leaders under their jurisdiction.   Apostles in the New Testament were pastors’ pastors who exercised protective authority, offered accountability, assisted in decision-making, settled disputes, enforced sound doctrine, exercised discipline, and ensured proper business practices.  Since Scripture does not say that that office ever ceased after the original apostles passed away, then that office still exists today and functions in those same capacities.

Therefore, the Assemblies of God are broken into state Districts led by a District Superintendent who is assisted by sectional Presbyters.  As such, if a member or a partner of LifeBridge ever suspects that our pastor has failed morally, ethically, or theologically, then he/she is obligated to confront the pastor first (Matthew 18:15), and then contact the following individuals so that a prompt and thorough investigation can occur.
